Note that by default, this remote is locked for use with Insignia TVs only and allows you to program the DVD, STB, and AUX modes on your device of choice. However, you can unlock the TV mode to program it for any TV brand. Please follow the instructions below to unlock the TV mode, then follow the instructions provided in the TV operating manual for programming.

Note: Before programming this remote, you must UNLOCK the TV mode to allow for programming it to a TV.

Instructions for unlocking the TV Mode:

  1. Press and release the TV button. Remote is in TV mode now.
  2. Press and hold the SET button until the light blinks twice. Remote is now in programming mode.
  3. Enter code 982. The light should blink 4 times to confirm the unlock.

Note: If the light blinks only 2 times, it is locked; you must repeat the steps above to unlock.
