How to pair my Samsung Remote? - Reset and Pairing Instructions - Pairing Guide

Note: The following instructions apply to the latest Samsung Smart remote controls, including models such as BN59-01357A and BN59-01385A, among others.

Setting Up Your Remote:

  1. Initial Charging:
    1. While many models include solar panels, they may not provide optimal charging. Upon receiving your remote, we recommend charging it using a USB-C cable for at least 30 minutes.
    2. If you notice your remote unpairing or experiencing issues, it may be due to a low battery. Ensure proper charging to resolve these issues.

Pairing Process

When you turn on the TV for the first time, the Samsung Smart Remote pairs with the TV automatically. If the Samsung Smart Remote does not pair with the TV automatically, then do the following steps:

  1. Point the remote towards the TV
  2. Press and hold the Back (↩︎) and Play/Pause (▷||) buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.
  3. Your TV will detect the remote and initiate the pairing process automatically. You should see a prompt on the TV confirming the successful pairing.
