How do I remove the battery cover?
Consult the Operating Manual
First things first, if you're unsure how to remove the battery door, turn to your trusty operating manual. Whether it's the manual that came with your remote or your TV, you're likely to find detailed instructions and helpful pictures on how to tackle this task.
Note: many Anderic remotes come with a screw installed in the battery cover. You must remove the screw to access the battery compartment. Please refer to the User Guide for your product.
Locating the Battery Door
For most remotes, the battery door is conveniently located on the backside. Here's a simple technique to pop it open:
- Slide Off Towards the Bottom: Apply downward pressure using your thumb on the grooves of the battery door. With a gentle push, it should slide off smoothly towards the bottom, revealing the battery compartment.
- Special Cases: Some remotes, like those from Vizio and Sony, may have a slightly different setup. In this case, use the palm of your hand to apply downward and outward pressure on the backside of the remote. Slide the entire backside off towards the bottom to access the battery compartment.
Exploring Sliding Door Remotes
If your remote features a sliding door that exposes additional buttons on the front, the battery compartment may be hidden just below. Here's how to unveil it:
- Extend the Sliding Door: While the sliding door naturally stops at its fully open position, you can usually extend it further. With a gentle push, slide it beyond its usual stopping point to fully expose the battery compartment underneath.
- Removing the Sliding Door: In some cases, you can remove the sliding door entirely, giving you direct access to the battery compartment. Simply slide it off carefully, and voila!
