How to pair my Fire TV Remote? - Amazon / Hisense / Toshiba / Insignia

This article applies to all Fire TV remote controls, including those from brands such as Insignia, Toshiba, Hisense, and Pioneer. Some models include the NS-RCFNA-21, CT-RC1US-21, CT95018, and more.

Pairing Instructions

1. Reset the TV - It must be unplugged from the power source.
2. Turn the TV back on by plugging it back in and allowing it to boot up.
3. HOLD the [HOME] key on the remote for up to 30 seconds.

NOTE: Your TV may display a message indicating that the remote needs an update. Allow it to update. It may take 1-3 minutes.

To reset the remote:

1. Press and hold for up to 30 seconds the following keys:
   1. Left (the left key on the directional pad)
   2. Back (the return key with the arrow back)
   3. Menu (the key with the three lines)
2. You can test the remote on the TV; if there is no response, please repeat the Pairing Instructions above.
