Thank you for purchasing the Anderic RRCM7500 Universal remote control designed to work with the CM7500XRC2 Channel Master DVR. Please see the information below to learn how to program and operate your remote control.
Notes
- This remote control is specifically designed to work with Channel Master DVR set-top boxes, including the models CM7001, CM7004, CM7500GB16, CM7500TB1, and CM7500XRC2.
- The Anderic RRCM7500 is not programmable for any other DVR models.
- Additionally, the RRCM7500 allows you to program secondary devices, such as TVs and audio equipment. Please refer to the programming instructions below for details on how to set up these devices.
Installing Batteries
Please insert two AA batteries into the battery compartment behind the battery door on the back of the remote. You may need to remove the screw securing the battery cover. Please make sure to match polarities when installing the batteries. Slide the battery cover down toward the bottom of the remote to remove it, then replace it after installing the batteries. The battery cover screw is optional and is not needed to secure the battery cover to the remote.
Optional security cable (sold separately)
This remote features an optional security cable attachment (sold separately). You can purchase this security cable from Anderic.com. Part number: CBL01.
Programming - Code Input Method
- Turn on the device you want to control.
- Find the corresponding brand code from the attached code list and write it down.
- Press & hold the [SETUP] key for about 3 seconds until the indicator light remains on; release the key
- Input the 4-digit code from the code list.
- If valid, the indicator light will turn off immediately.
- If the code is invalid, the indicator light will blink three times quickly and then turn off; please try entering the code again.
- Check to see if most of the keys work to control your device. If not, please try another code under the same brand and repeat all steps. You may also try the “Code search method.”
Note: If no button is pressed for 20 seconds during programming mode, the remote will exit programming mode.
Programming - Code search method
- Turn on the device you want to control.
- Press and hold the [SETUP] key for approximately 3 seconds until the indicator light remains on; then release the key.
- Press and hold the [RED-COLORED] (for TV) key or the [GREEN-COLORED] key (for audio); it will enter the “Code search method.”
- Release the key [RED-COLORED] (for TV) or the [GREEN-COLORED] key (for audio) when the device responds.
- Check to see if most of the keys work to control your device; if not, please repeat all steps above.
Programming - One-button search method
- Turn on the device you want to control.
- Press and hold the [SETUP] key for approximately 3 seconds until the indicator light remains on; then release the key.
- Input code 991(for TV) or 992 (For AUDIO).
- Find your corresponding brand number from the list below, and press and hold the corresponding number key.
- Once the unit responds, release the key and press any key to save.

Input Lock
Note: This feature always locks the input key to send the code to the programmed TV or Set-Top Box device, regardless of the selected mode.
- Press and hold the [SETUP] key for approximately 3 seconds until the indicator light remains on; then release the key.
- Press the [INPUT] key, and the indicator light blinks once and remains illuminated.
- Press the device key [RED-COLORED] for the TV or [GREEN-COLORED] for the set-top box.
Volume Lock
Note: This feature allows locking the VOL+, VOL-, and MUTE keys to always send the code to the programmed TV or set-top box device regardless of the remote’s mode.
- Press and hold the [SETUP] key for approximately 3 seconds until the indicator light remains on; then release the key.
- Press the [VOL+] key, and the indicator light blinks once and remains illuminated.
- Press the device key [RED-COLORED] for the TV or [GREEN-COLORED] for the set-top box.
Code Protection
Note: This feature allows for locking the codes programmed in place, requiring an extra step to avoid accidentally having the codes changed.
- Press and hold the [RED-COLORED] key and the [OK] key simultaneously for about 3 seconds, until the indicator light flashes twice; then release the keys.
- Enabled: Code input or code search method cannot change the device code
- Disabled: Code input or code search method can program the code as usual. Repeating these steps will toggle between enabled and disabled states.
Reset to factory default status
- Press and hold the [OK] key and the [YELLOW-COLORED] key simultaneously for about 3 seconds, until the indicator light flashes once; then release the keys.
Low voltage indication
If the LED indicator flashes ten times when you press any key, it indicates the low voltage. Please replace the batteries.
Combo power off/on:
Press and hold the [OK] and [ON] keys simultaneously for about 3 seconds, until the indicator light flashes twice; then release the two keys.
Activate/deactivate backlighting feature:
Note: Deactivating the backlighting feature will conserve battery consumption.
- Press and hold the [OK] and [BLUE-COLORED] keys simultaneously for about 3 seconds, until the indicator light flashes twice; then release the two keys.
