[User Guide] Anderic RRP265V5 Universal Remote Control for Verizon Fios Set-top-box

This article applies to the Anderic RRP265V5 Universal Remote Control for Verizon Fios Set-top-box.

Installing Batteries

Please insert two AA batteries into the battery compartment behind the battery door on the back of the remote. You may need to remove the screw securing the battery cover. Please ensure that you match polarities when installing the batteries. Slide the battery cover down toward the bottom of the remote to remove it, then replace it after installing the batteries. The battery cover screw is optional and is not needed to secure the battery cover to the remote.

Programming - Code Input Method

1. Turn on the device you want to control. 
2. Find the corresponding brand code in the attached code list and record it. 
3. Press and hold the [OK] and [FIOS TV] keys simultaneously for about 3 seconds, until the indicator light remains on; then release the keys. 
4. Input the 4-digit code from the code list.
   1. If valid, the indicator light will turn off immediately.
   2. If the code is invalid, the indicator light will blink three times quickly and then turn off; please try entering the code again. 
5. Check to see if most of the keys work to control your device. If not, please try another code under the same brand and repeat all steps. You may also try the “Code search method.” 

Note: If no button is pressed for 20 seconds during programming mode, the remote will exit programming mode.

Programming - Code search method 

1. Turn on the device you want to control. 
2. Press and hold the [OK] and [FIOS TV] keys simultaneously for about 3 seconds, until the indicator light remains on; then release the keys. 
3. Press & hold the [PLAY] key to enter “Code search method.” 
4. Release the [PLAY] key when the device responds. 
5. Check to see if most of the keys work to control your device; if not, please repeat all steps above. 

Programming - One-button search method 

1. Turn on the device you want to control. 
2. Press and hold the [OK] and [FIOS TV] keys simultaneously for about 3 seconds, until the indicator light turns on; then release the keys. 
3. Input code 996. 
4. Find your corresponding brand number from the list below, and press and hold the corresponding number key. 
5. Once the unit powers off, release the key and press any key to save.

Learning Feature

Note: The learning feature allows for programming individual key commands from any IR remote control. The Applicable keys are [POWER], [VOL+], [VOL-], [AV], [MUTE]. 

1. Press and hold the [OK] and [PLAY] keys simultaneously for about 3 seconds, until the indicator light remains on; then release the keys. 
2. Press and release the key you want to be learned; the indicator light will flash slowly. 
3. Align both remotes by pointing them at each other at a distance of about 1-2 inches apart, with IR LEDs directly aligned. 
4. Press and hold the corresponding key on the target remote control until the indicator light flashes three times and remains illuminated. This indicates that the code has been successfully learned. Continue to step 5. If the code learning was unsuccessful, please start over from step 1. 
5. Repeat steps 2-4 to learn the keys needed; press any key to save and exit.

Delete all learned keys. 

1. Press and hold the [TV POWER] and [OK] keys simultaneously for about 3 seconds, until the indicator light flashes twice; then release the keys.

Input Lock

Note: This feature always locks the input [A/V] key to send the code to the programmed TV and not the set-top box. 

1. Press and hold the [VOL-] and [OK] keys simultaneously for about 3 seconds, until the indicator light flashes twice; then release the keys. 
2. Repeating this step will toggle between enabled and disabled states. 
   1. Enabled: [A/V] key will only transmit code for TV mode. 
   2. Disabled: [A/V] key will return to STB mode.

Volume Lock

Note: This feature allows you to lock the VOL+, VOL-, and MUTE keys to always send the code to the programmed TV or set-top box device, regardless of the remote’s mode. 

1. Press and hold the [MUTE] and [OK] keys simultaneously for about 3 seconds, until the indicator light flashes twice; then release the keys. 
2. Repeating this step will toggle between enabled and disabled states. 
   1. Enabled: The volume keys will transmit under TV mode. 
   2. Disabled: The volume keys will transmit under STB mode.

Code Protection

Note: This feature allows you to lock the codes programmed in place, requiring an extra step to prevent accidentally changing the codes. 

1. Press and hold the [GUIDE] and [OK] keys for about 3 seconds, until the indicator light flashes twice; then release the keys. 
2. Repeating this step will toggle between enabled and disabled states. 
   1. Enabled: Code input or code search method cannot change the TV code. 
   2. Disabled: Code input or code search method can program the code as usual.

Reset to factory default status

Press and hold the [STB POWER] and [OK] keys simultaneously for about 3 seconds, until the indicator light flashes twice; then release the keys.

Low voltage indication

If the LED indicator flashes ten times when you press any key, it indicates a low voltage.

Please replace the batteries.
