[User Guide] Anderic FAN9T & FAN9TR Thermostatic Ceiling Fan Remote Controls
This article applies to the Anderic FAN9TR (with Reverse Key), FAN9T (with Timer key), FAN-9T, and L3HFAN9T ceiling fan remote controls.
Instructions
Note: This unit features 16 code combinations, which can be selected by using the four dip switches located in the remote’s battery compartment and the receiver.
- Pairing the remote control with dip switches
- Installing the FAN10R ceiling fan receiver (& FAN9TR remote)
Compatibility Notes
- The FAN9TR is compatible with any fan equipped with the FAN-10R receiver.
- The FAN9T can only replace Hampton Bay remotes that have an FCC ID of L3HFAN-9T and that also have the Fan Timer key
- If your original remote operates UPPER and LOWER lights, then these remotes will not work for the UPPER lights.
- The FAN9T is not a compatible replacement for any other models, including remote control FCC ID numbers starting with "CHQ..."
Preparing the remote
Use the image below for reference.
- To insert the batteries, remove the battery compartment (1) by inserting your fingernail above the battery cover slit (5) and applying pressure downward while prying up, the door should easily come off.
- Make sure that the Dip-switch panel matches your ceiling fan receiver's dip-switch panel pattern. For full instructions, go here.
- Insert a set of four (4) AAA 1.5v batteries into the battery compartment (1), taking note of the direction of polarity.
- Replace the battery cover (1).
Installing the wall mount
Please locate a suitable spot on the wall, usually beside a wall switch.
- Use a screwdriver to screw the provided screws into the wall, ensuring the wall mount (2) is level. The screws should be installed under the wall mount screw cover. Remove the wall mount screw cover by sliding the panel up and off. Replace after mounting.
- Hang the remote on the installed wall mount by simply dropping the remote inside the bracket; the remote should face outward.
Fahrenheit to Celsius Toggle
To toggle from C to F, hold down the TEMP UP and TEMP DOWN buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.
Operating the remote
- FAN key (Blue) – For fan speed control – with each press cycle, the fan speeds from High -> Medium -> Low -> Off
FAN AUTO key – For setting fan speeds to adjust depending on the temperature you set here. Click the FAN AUTO key, then the TEMP UP/DOWN keys to adjust the
desired temperature. The fan will now change the speeds according to temperature.
- Note: The fan will be off if the indoor temperature is lower than the set temperature. If the indoor temperature is 0-2 degrees Celsius warmer than the set temperature: The fan will turn to the low-speed setting. If the indoor temperature is 2-4 degrees Celsius warmer than the set temperature: The fan will turn to the medium-speed setting. If the indoor temperature is greater than 4 degrees Celsius and warmer than the set temperature, the fan will turn to the high-speed setting.
- LIGHT key (yellow) – Toggles light ON/OFF. Press and hold to cycle dimming.
- FAN TIMER key (FAN9T remote only) – With the fan timer key, you can easily set a timer for your ceiling fan to automatically turn off after a specific duration, promoting energy efficiency and convenience.
- LIGHT TIMER key - Set the timer option of the lights.
- LIGHT DELAY key – Turns the light off automatically after 3 minutes.
- TEMP./SET HOUR UP/DOWN keys – Sets the temperature or time up or down.
- FAN/REV KEY (FAN9TR remote only) – Will reverse the fan spin direction.
NOTE: The FAN9T does not have a light dimming option.
